Topic- Pluto has a heart
The mission of our school is to connect people with astronomy, connecting people to learning opportunities and to share the wonder of astronomy as the gateway to science literacy.
For this, Mount Abu Public School is conducting regular Webinars to connect students and parents with astronomy.
The Webinar on PLUTO HAS A HEART was conducted by Mr Aryan Mishra on 18th April,2020.  He showered the information of discovery of planet and its name. He also enlightened us with the information pf why Pluto was considered as Dwarf planet. Students were amazed snd were very keen to go to the depth of this topic. Teachers and students asked questions and made the session interactive.

BASICS OF STAR GAZING

The Webinar on BASICS OF STAR GAZING by Mr Aryan Mishra continued for third day i.e 10th april. On this day he showered the information on stars. Life of stars, constituents and colors of different stars. The best was information on ORIGIN OF UNIVERSE. Students were amazed snd were very keen to go to the depth of this topic. 10 mins were given to the students to ask questions at the end from him and students has shown great interest in astronomy. Excitement of the students is motivating to conduct some more webinars like this.

Mount Abu Public School organized Webinars with renowned personalities to shower the information to students during this quarantine period. The session on BASICS OF STAR GAZING by Mr. Aryan Mishra continued for second day i.e. 9th April. On this day he gave ample of information related to constellations, galaxies and stars. He showed different pattern of constellations which can be viewed by naked eye of person by the help of software called Stellarium. Students were highly enthusiastic and participated in this session with full zeal. 10 mins were given to the students to ask questions at the end from him and students has shown great interest in astronomy. Students are keen to have more such Webinars.

Supermoon day is a full moon or new moon day when Moon becomes closest to the Earth in its elliptical orbit resulting in a slightly larger than usual apparent size when viewed from Earth.

During this period of quarantine Mount Abu Public School celebrated this day wherein students from their home watched moon and at late evening Webinar was conducted by India’s youngest Astronomer Mr. Aryan Mishra who gave very useful information for field of Astronomy. This was  attended by the students of Astronomy club, students of 9-10th standard and science faculty. He shared basics of star gazing involving different types of telescopes and their significance. Session was really interactive and students asked different questions from our presenter.

Quarantine period will not stop us from passion and celebration. Students are looking forward for more Webinars.
